Community Points

This is the canonical explanation of allocation rules, rankings, analytics and the distinction between Community Points and Trending. For related canonical topics, see the Silex guide and XP, Levels and Shards.

Every authenticated Silex user receives a limited daily point budget to distribute among the publicly LISTED projects and communities they want to support.

Your daily budget

Allocate and reallocate

You can put all of your points behind one project or spread them across several. Your project allocation can be increased or reduced throughout the current day. Reducing an allocation returns those points to your remaining balance immediately.

XP and Shards

Each Community Point used for the first time during a UTC day grants 2 XP and 1 Silex Shard. Reducing and reallocating the same daily units does not grant the reward again. Shards are internal, non-transferable and non-crypto, have no monetary value, and cannot be withdrawn or connected to a wallet. Read the full progression guide.

Top Communities on Silex

Top Communities This Week adds every daily allocation made during the current UTC week. A new daily balance does not erase points already counted in that weekly ranking. Top Communities All Time is the cumulative total since Community Points launched. All-time totals do not include legacy Upvotes.

Voting Analytics

The Voting dashboard shows community activity across Silex. Each project profile also has a Daily Votes chart above its liquidity pools. Switch between line and bar views, or use the arrow keys while the chart is focused to inspect dates.

Daily Votes counts positive voting points allocated that day. Allocating 20 points and later removing 5 means 20 points of activity, not 15. Increasing an allocation from 3 to 5 adds 2 points. Retrying the same allocation adds nothing. Removing points adds no activity; reallocating them counts as new activity at the receiving project. Automatic daily baseline points and reactions are excluded.

Unique voters means distinct people who allocated positive points. Someone voting several times is still one voter in the selected period. The charts show aggregate counts, never user identities or wallets.

Days start at 00:00 UTC. 7D, 30D and 90D include today and the preceding 6, 29 or 89 UTC days; today is partial. The dashboard also offers a rolling 24H range. ALL includes recorded allocation history, without inventing activity before records began. Figures may take up to two minutes to update.

Votes Today counts points since UTC midnight. Points This Week covers today and the past six UTC days. Active Voters and Projects Voted On use the range you select.

Top Projects ranks positive points allocated in the selected period. Share is the project's percentage of all those points. Trend compares with the preceding equal-length period; the previous calendar period is complete while today is still in progress. A project with no previous activity shows “New.” ALL has no prior-period comparison.

Rising in Votes highlights acceleration rather than the largest totals. Projects need at least 10 points, 3 voters and 5 additional points. Growth is measured against the preceding period, using a minimum comparison base of 10 points to keep very small starting values from dominating. For example, 10 to 50 points rises faster than 1,000 to 1,010. This does not change Silex Trending.

Analytics include currently public listings and recorded allocation events. Older balance-only or legacy Upvote data cannot be reconstructed as daily activity. Analytics measure allocations over time; Community Points leaderboards measure retained balances and may therefore show different totals.

Permanent project reactions remain separate

Each authenticated user can choose Poop, Fire, Rocket or Red Flag once per listed project. Reactions never reset and cannot be changed. They do not add or subtract Community Points and have no influence on Trending, Watch, Verification, or listing state.

Trending reflects attention and activity

Recent Community Points votes contribute to Trending alongside unique Silex profile views, price movement in either direction and trading volume. Missing market data does not automatically exclude a public listing. Community leaderboard rank does not determine Trending rank. Sponsorship and Verification payment never add Community Points. Every approved public project receives one automatic daily baseline point at 20:15 Europe/Brussels, adjusted for summer and winter time. These points count toward daily, weekly and all-time Community Points rankings. They are separate from community votes, do not create supporters or user rewards, and do not contribute to the Trending vote signal.
